Our Commitment to the Environment
- Barrymore has reduced VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) emissions generated by its wood finishing process to minimal levels. Even though our production has grown steadily over the last fifteen years, our total VOC emissions have been reduced significantly.
- Barrymore sofas and chairs begin with frames made from FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) hardwood, harvested in Canada. Clear Cut methods are not used to harvest these woods.
- Barrymore recycles thousands of pounds of scrap material every year, including seating foam, Dacron fibre, scrap wood and fabric.
- Barrymore uses seating foam produced using the most environmentally friendly processes and equipment. Our seating foam is produced without VOC emissions and does not contain or use brominated additives, nor are Freons used in the manufacturing process.
